Ronald McDonald House Westmead was recently presented with a new Hyundai people mover for families with seriously ill children, thanks to McDonald Jones Homes.

This vehicle will help families from country and regional areas staying at the House to get around Sydney while they are staying at Westmead with their child.

Company founder Bill McDonald said it was important for families to feel as comfortable as possible when away from their home and this new people mover would go some way towards helping them keep their independence.

“We should never take laughter and good health for granted, so it’s the least we can do to help Ronald McDonald House Westmead support families with children who are seriously ill,” said Mr McDonald.

“There’s no place like home, but by being able to drive around in safety and comfort, these families can try to live as normally as possible during their stay at the House.”

Bill McDonald presented the vehicle to the Ronald McDonald House Westmead team and one of the families currently staying at the House at a presentation ceremony at Westmead on Thursday 10 October.
