The Mark Hughes Beanie for Brain Cancer fundraising event received a huge boost when a three metre high beanie was installed last week on top of the McDonald Jones Stadium in readiness for Friday’s game. The three meter high beanie will sit on top of the stadium for the coming weeks to promote and assist with raising valuable funds for this great cause close to our hearts.

We are so proud to be able to offer this gesture of support to the Foundation and even better we also have the support of our employees who have also purchased beanies to show their dedication to raising funds and awareness. Our employees will be wearing them on the day at the offices, as well as across work sites in the region – so you may see a few beanies around our new home work sites too!

Venues NSW CEO Paul Doorn said about the gesture: “We are proud to support the Mark Hughes Foundation by welcoming Beanie for Brain Cancer Stadium to our network of venues as part of this Round. I’d like to publicly thank McDonald Jones Homes for giving up their naming rights to our stadium for this great cause.”

Mark Hughes, also noted “I would like to thank McDonald Jones Stadium for their amazing support again in 2019.”

If you're in the Hunter make sure you get to the Friday night game between the Knights and the Tigers and make sure to wear your beanie to help show your support for the Mark Hughes Foundation. If you’re not in the Hunter, don’t worry you can still support this great cause as other NRL venues and stadiums hosting games over Round 19 25 July – 28 July will also be promoting the Mark Hughes Foundation event and selling Beanies during this time at their merchandise counters.
