There’s no better time in the NRL season than Old Boys Day! As the 2018 Match Day Sponsor for the Newcastle Knights’ Old Boys Day at McDonald Jones Stadium, we are going all out for the Saturday 1st September pre-game activities and half time.

As the Knights last game for the season, we wanted to show them our full support and thank them for a fun year, from their trip to Casa del Ross to their current involvement in the Build for a Cure project at Medowie. We’ve organised two main pre-game events everybody can get involved in (whether you’re a footy fan or not!).

Firstly, we’ll be bringing together the community from coast to country with a huge Buy a Bale fundraiser. The team from Rural Aid will be at the Stadium with collection buckets to support the farmers, so whether you can donate a silver coin or a note every bit counts.

We’re also doing our part by donating a truck of hay which will be matched by The Wests Group and McCloy Group (with more hay to come!). Plus, McDonald Jones Stadium are donating 400 tickets to the farmers, so they can enjoy some R&R (and hopefully see the Knights win!).

And for those who really love the footy, we’ve lined up eight football legends that you’ll be able to get photos with in our photobooth. Premiership winners including Mark Hughes, Billy Peden and Kurt Gidley will be ready to pose for the camera with you and the 1997 or 2001 grand final trophies; you’ll be able to grab a print out of the pic instantly and get a digital copy off Facebook.

Our eight previous Knights players will be part of a rotation, changing every 15 minutes so make sure to stick around the marquee so you can get a photo with everyone. We’ll also be selecting 9 participants from our marquee to join in our entertaining half time activity when our ginormous blow up footballs will be making another appearance.

Make sure to also pick up an exclusive 2018 Knights poster only available at this game as well as thunder stix, drink bottles and shields!

Whether you want to drop into the Stadium to support the farmers or are sticking around for the Knights last home game, this will be the one event to pull whole region together with mateship, support and lending a helping hand.
