Hi,

We were at Thornton on Friday choosing colours, electricals and signing final documents. We wanted to pass on our thanks for the very professional approach taken by Melissa, Peter and Kelly during the day. As you may know, we travelled down from Cairns to complete as much of the process as possible in one day - a marathon 9 hours. We found the consultants to be helpful and their advice invaluable. We are especially grateful for the extra effort to fit in with our time frame, particularly Kelly who stayed late on Friday night to make sure the contract signing process was throrough and that we fully understood all the issues involved.

As you can appreciate, building a house is a big undertaking and doing it from 2000 km away, even more so. After our experience on Friday, we are confident we have made the right choice in choosing McDonald Jones as our builders.

Hi, just a short note regarding McDonald Jones Homes experience.

Congratulations to McDonald Jones Homes for the policy & procedures that are in place to enable the finished product to be of a high quality.

Our first contact with your company started with inspection of display home at Fern Bay, and meeting Graeme Luke. It was Graeme that sold us on McDonald Jones Homes. We found him to be totally honest and up front in each discussion we had. A valued employee.

To the staff at Thornton, Nadine who greatly assisted us in the choosing of colours etc, also Peter with his expertise with electrical both displayed great knowledge which made it easier for us, and to you Kelly our liaison officer

Thank you for all your understanding and cooperation during the process ..To our site manager Gary Howard, the managers manager, excellent communicator, firm, fair and consistent in all dealing with him. Please convey our appreciation and thanks for the excellent house he presented to us.

Would I recommend McDonald Jones Homes to prospective home buyers? YES. An excellent company with good policy and procedures.

Our daughter and her husband (on our recommendation) are now in the process of purchasing the "Santorini" to build at Ashtonfield, so if McDonald Jones Homes can assist it would be great.

Dear Brett,

The finishing touches are now being carried out on our new McDonald Jones home. So Dot and I just want to convey to you a sincere word of thanks for your professionalism, courtesy, support and competence that we experienced as we worked with you on this special project in our lives. 

Building a home that one can be proud of and really happy with needs either a lot of luck, or the selection of a first-class building company. We were fortunate to select McDonald Jones which not only produced an excellent product for us, but utilises an excellent service team. Everyone we dealt with, whether at the Office level or on the actual job, carried out their duties to a high level of ability. 

We must pay a special tribute of thanks to Lew Volkl, who as the building supervisor was satisfied with nothing less than excellence in every aspect of the building program.

Once again, thank you so much for our lovely home.

Well our building program with McDonald Jones Homes has (almost) drawn to a close. We are now in our new home just waiting for a few finishing touches to be completed. 

As we settle into our new life here, Dot and I want to convey to you our sincere thanks for your assistance especially in the early planning stages where you most capably guided us through many decisions regarding layout, etc of the house. We found your courtesy and willingness to work with us through a number of variations most encouraging. At all times we felt you were working with our best interests in mind. 

Your pleasant and professional approach minimised many of the worries that a project of this size can create.

Hi Bill,

I just wanted to take the time to thank you personally for your involvement in sorting out the problem with the SPA. I met Mick and Dave on site this morning and they informed me then, that they had resolved the problem. I would also like to take this opportunity to compliment you on the professionalism of all your employees that I have been dealing with. Especially Suzzanne Russell who has been a real delight and pleasure to deal with, as well as Dave Davies, who has always been most accommodating with any request and information I have required and a real professional and an asset to your company.

My husband and I are really looking forward to handover on Friday and moving into our beautiful new home in the coming weeks, once all the appropriate Certificates are received. Once all the moving is over, I am really looking forward to christening my new SPA, and will think of you as I am relaxing with Champagne in hand of what a great job you did in sorting out my eyesore of a motor.

Once again Bill, thank you, to you and your team for building us a beautiful home.

Morning Graeme

We have just completed handover with Paul Jones this morning and felt I needed to express our (Matthew and I) gratitude and feedback on our building process with McDonald Jones, and in particular, our Site Supervisor Paul.

After finally deciding to build and not buy an existing house, we had concerns initially hearing stories of people’s “horror” experiences with building a new home.

From the initial process of meeting Dave McCann in October last year, to handover today, we can honestly say that we are thrilled with the service, end product and speed at which the process was completed.

Paul Jones’ professionalism, communication, honesty and project management skills should be commended and we felt it important to pass this feedback onto you today.

Not once did Paul ever let us down. From beginning to end he kept all lines of communication open, and if for some reason what he had planned could not go ahead, he would advise of progress and updates.

I understand that Paul has many open projects all at different stages of construction, but his organisation and professionalism would not indicate to his customers how stretched he is.

If more tradesmen were as organised and diligent as Paul, those “horror” stories I am sure would be very minimal.

We are very excited to be moving into our new home and again would like to sincerely thank all parties involved in the smooth transition

Matthew and I have no hesitation in recommending McDonald Jones to anyone who is considering building

We have recently moved into our new Mcdonald Jones Home and we are very pleased with the quality of the building work carried out.

The house ticks all the boxes especially the floor plan and flow through to the outside afresco

I would personally like to acknowledge a couple of people who were very helpful during the process

AD, the consultant at the Warnervale display village who very helpful in steering us in the right direction especially with cosmetic changes which have proved to be very practical.

I would also like to acknowledge LV our building supervisor who went out of his way a couple of times.

He was also very meticulous at the final inspection appointment

Finally there are only two words that describes Mcdonald Jones Homes and that is there building quality is simply better

Dear Mr. McDonald,

We have received the keys to our new McDonald Jones house, the beautiful Bordeaux at Nelson Bay .

We would like to take this opportunity to express our sentiments about the experience we've had with working with your company.

Contrary to most people's claims that having a house built could be a stressful and frustrating experience, we must congratulate McDonald Jones Homes for proving this opinion wrong.

Thanks to the supportive approach and the professional conduct of each team member involved in our building project, we felt reassured and comfortable throughout the construction period. The procedures at every stage were carried out in a very efficient way.

We would like to acknowledge this important aspect of the company and would appreciate it if you could convey our sincere thanks to the office staff A.D, J.W, E.K, R.J, S.P, P.S and M.T the supervisor, for their work. (We are sure there are others behind the scenes and extend our thanks to them too.)

Twice over the last two years I have asked for your help in pricing a home and land package but due to circumstances haven’t proceeded. I wanted to let you know that I end up buying one of your houses in East Maitland.

Dear Sir,

We have recently completed and moved into our second McDonald Jones home, The Beach House at lot 9, number 5, Ayrshire Way, Largs. Of note, this is now the 4th McDonald Jones home that has been built within our immediate family.

We are writing to commend to you the many individuals that have made this process possible, but in particular our supervisor G.W. G.W has not only provided us with a wonderful home, but has ensured through his actions and communication that the whole construction experience was tremendous. He treated us with respect, was completely open and honest with us, and his policy of onsite visits to follow the progress of the construction and afford us the opportunity to ask questions and resolve issues ensured a seamless and productive relationship.

From the beginning we were very pleased to have G.L at Fern Bay assist us with the purchase, regular interaction with L.P who always greets each phone call and customer with a genuine pleasantness and enthusiasm, and J.P who guided us with colour selection and how to spend even more money than we had planned. Even the contract process was seamless.

Whilst each of these people played an important role, the most significant relationship of all is with the construction supervisor. It is during this relationship that our hopes and dreams for a new life in an amazing new home are either built up with anticipation, or progressively destroyed with frustrations, lies and poor communication. We were incredibly privileged that G.W was selected as our supervisor, and his honesty, professionalism, desire to incorporate us in the construction process and most of all the respect he showed us certainly sets a benchmark for all other construction companies to meet and is truly an example that McDonald Jones can be exceedingly proud of.

Dear Bill,

I would like to thank you and your company for the building of our home at the above address. It is a pleasure to say that we have had a relatively trouble and hassle free time throughout the building process and that all your staff were very courteous and helpful when questions were asked.

A special mention must be made of our building supervisor G.K, as he always informed us to how the work was proceeding and always returned our calls when problems were encountered in a very professional and courteous manner.

As I have worked in the building industry for over 20 years and have built a new home before I understand the difficulties of arranging trades and material. GK is exceptional at organising smooth transition between trades and is obviously held in high regard by all the trades that worked on our house. With respect to the tradesmen, it was a pleasant surprise to see tradesmen who were proud of their work and who would always take that extra step to ensure the job was just that bit better than most.

I have heard many horror stories of how things went bad when building with other companies.

My wife and I are very pleased with our new home and would not hesitate to recommend your company to anyone thinking of building a new home.

Dear McDonald Jones Homes,

My family and I moved into our beautiful new McDonald Jones Home, built in the heart of the FernBaySeasideVillage in April 2006 and we have enjoyed every minute of our home life since that time.

Fern Bay is just 20 minutes North of Newcastle. Most of our friends and family live in the City, and choosing to build our new home close to them was really important. Here in FernBay we enjoy the best of both worlds. On one hand, we are close to the City with all the stimulation that kind of lifestyle offers – restaurants, clubs and shopping, and on the other hand, we live in this amazing super relaxed lifestyle in a lush bush land setting.

Our home and garden backs onto the National Park, and coming home feels like we are stepping into our very own Eco Resort. My husband and I walk our children around the Estate most afternoons, and it is so lovely to be able to show them flocks of Black Cockatoos over head, or watch as a Wallaby bounds off into the bush.

Living in our new McDonald Jones Home is a real pleasure. I’m a busy mother with three small children, and from a practical point of view, I really appreciate all the family friendly features McDonald Jones have included in our new home design.

Our big kitchen and spacious entertaining area opens onto our large back deck, and allows us to throw big kids parties - and by that I mean big birthday parties for the kids, and yes, great parties for the big kids too.
