A Sovereign delight

FINALLY, the soil has been turned for Port Macquarie’s highly-anticipated and visionary town planning project Sovereign Hills.

Despite years of uncertainty and setbacks, the masterplanned estate located 8km from the town centre, has welcomed its first property owners. Marking the realisation of a dream almost a decade in the making.

Janette and Owen Trimmer recently began preparations for their “perfect home”. “I’ve wanted to get out of Sydney for the last 30 years,” Mr Trimmer said, laughing. “We’ve been looking at the development for years and now we’re thrilled to be starting construction.” Mrs Trimmer said they fell in love with a McDonald Jones display home, and were simply waiting for the right time to relocate from Sydney. “As soon as we saw it we thought – this is it, when can we move in,” she said. “We just decided we wanted a seachange.”
